What to Do After Getting Engaged: A Guide for Newly Engaged Couples
Congratulations on your engagement! As you embark on this exciting journey, it's important to savor every moment. Here are essential steps to take after getting engaged:
Celebrate Your Engagement: Take the time to cherish this special period with loved ones. Consider hosting a celebration to share your joy.
Set a Wedding Timeline: Discuss your vision for the wedding and create a planning timeline. This will help you prioritize key elements and stay organized.
Establish Your Budget: Determine your budget early on. Allocate funds to the aspects that matter most to you as a couple, such as venue, catering, and photography.
Book Your Vendors: Secure your venue and wedding planner first, as they help solidify your date. After that, choose a caterer and, of course, your wedding photographer. A skilled photographer will capture the magic of your day.
Plan an Engagement Session: Consider scheduling an engagement photo session in a different season than your wedding. This way, you can capture the beauty of both times of year.
Remember, the key to a joyful planning process is staying true to yourselves and finding vendors who align with your vision. If you’re looking for a photographer to document your love story, my books are open for 2025 and 2026. Let’s create beautiful memories together!
A Dreamy Summer Engagement in Central Park ending in an Unforgettable Evening at Top of the Rock
Summer in New York City is nothing short of magical, and when it comes to romantic settings, few places rival the charm of Central Park. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing an engagement that perfectly embodied the essence of New York City in peak summer, beginning with a stroll through Bethesda Terrace and ending with a breathtaking view from Top of the Rock during blue hour.
An Elegant Garden Wedding in Hershey with a Day After Party At Harp & Crown in Philadelphia
While documenting a wedding day I strive to exist in two perspectives throughout the day. Over the course of the time leading up to the wedding I am extremely intentional on connecting with my couple and getting to know them without my camera in my hand. The first perspective is a result of this time connecting in the hopes of beginning to see my couple in some of the ways they see each other so I can document them as such. The second is a blend of how I see the world and my observations on how the day itself feels. I want to capture the way the sun feels kissing brushing up against your skin as you walk down the aisle, the glint of emotion that shifts in your eyes when you see your partner for the first time on your wedding day.
Romantic Fall Wedding Ideas: Colors, Flowers, and More
One of the most breathtaking times of the year is just around the corner and I am already daydreaming about the trees becoming a more vibrant, rich and warm palette that sets the world ablaze in color. Autumn has always been one of my favorite times of year and getting to capture its beauty, depth and range is always a highlight to the tail end of each year's weddings. Each season comes with its own special variety of color and texture when it comes to planning the details of your day. When it comes to fall weddings, I love seeing the way my couples lean into the natural beauty of the season.

Chic, Blue China Wedding in Western new York
Elegant and Timeless New Venue in Honesdale, PA
Nestled just beyond historic Honesdale, PA sits a new wedding venue that has stolen my heart. Wildflower on Watts takes the best of what barn venues have to offer and creates a timeless setting for your day to naturally unfold. Over the years I have found that many barn venues, beautiful as they may be, aren’t always equipped the right way for a wedding or prove to be much too rustic for an elevated wedding experience.
