A Pennsylvania Dutch–Inspired Fall Wedding at Fox Briar Farm
One of the sweetest compliments I can receive as a wedding photographer is getting to photograph someone who was in—or attended—another wedding I captured. Megan was a bridesmaid in the wedding of one of her closest friends, and when she reached out about capturing her own day, I was absolutely over the moon. From our very first call, I knew we’d be an incredible fit. More importantly, it was so clear that Megan and Grant were marrying their best friend—the kind of love that feels steady, joyful, and deeply grounded which was even more apparent to me the more I got to connect with them.
Megan has such an eye for design and an innate desire to make moments feel meaningful, and that came through in every detail as we planned for her wedding. Getting to walk through her vision together in the months leading up to the day was such a joy.
A Thoughtfully Designed Weekend at Fox Briar Farm
Megan, Grant, and their closest friends and family stayed on-site the night before the wedding, which made the morning feel calm, unhurried, and full of quiet anticipation. Megan got ready in the inn while Grant and his wedding party spent the morning in the Tack Room before their first look—an easy, relaxed start to a day that would be full of emotion and celebration.
Fox Briar Farm was the perfect setting for their weekend together. This fully renovated 18th-century stone farmhouse in the heart of Bucks County offers eight guest rooms, cozy common spaces, fireplaces, and a terrace that invites guests to linger. The barn overlooks the rolling hills and a pond, with balconies and a built-in bar, offering multiple ceremony locations and plenty of space for guests to mingle during cocktail hour while soaking in the fall foliage.
Pennsylvania Dutch–Inspired Design with a Modern Twist
Megan’s design vision was inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch references, interpreted in a way that felt modern, natural, and deeply personal. Lace doilies and heavy iron candlestick holders grounded the tablescapes, while Branches and Blooms Design brought her vision to life with folk-inspired floral arrangements.
Rather than traditional centerpieces, they imagined the tables as a repeating pattern—small, dark iron vessels spaced rhythmically down the tables, each holding deliberate, line-driven arrangements. They felt almost embroidered—like stitched florals growing across a tapestry—creating movement and cohesion across the reception space.
The ceremony and outdoor bar florals were fuller, nodding to agrarian traditions and the celebration of land and season. These pieces were later brought into the reception to tie the entire design together. Kim, the owner and florist of Branches and Blooms Design, shared how meaningful it felt to collaborate on a design rooted in Megan’s Pennsylvania Dutch heritage—a beautiful blend of tradition and contemporary elegance.
Their ceremony was heartfelt, emotional, and full of laughter and happy tears. It felt like everyone present truly knew and loved Megan and Grant, and that sense of community carried through every part of the day.
One of my favorite personal details was Megan’s guestbook—a tablecloth that guests signed throughout the evening. Later, Megan embroidered their signatures, turning their well-wishes into a lasting heirloom. It’s such a meaningful way to preserve the voices and presence of everyone who celebrated with them.
High-Energy Reception & A Stunning Second Look
During cocktail hour, Megan slipped away for a second look—redoing her hair into a sleek updo and adding a neck veil for a modern, fashion-forward moment. It was such a fun transformation and felt like a perfect reflection of her style: thoughtful, intentional, and effortlessly chic.
As the sun dipped behind the farm, the reception kicked into full celebration mode. The dance floor was packed from the start, thanks to the incredible live music from Bachelor Boys Band, bringing a contagious, high-energy atmosphere that kept guests dancing all night.
A Celebration of People Who Go the Extra Mile
The speeches were heartfelt and sweet, highlighting just how generous and kind Megan and Grant are—and how much they go out of their way for the people they love. Their wedding felt less like a single day and more like a gathering of a community that has grown around them over years of friendship, family, and shared history.
Megan and Grant’s wedding at Fox Briar Farm was a celebration of heritage, design, and connection—crafted with intention and filled with so much joy. I feel incredibly honored to have captured both the beginning of their story and this next chapter.
