An Emotional Rooftop Wedding under the Pittsburgh Skyline

Getting to connect with Sara & Zoe for their timeless celebration at the Il Tetto rooftop beer garden in downtown Pittsburgh was a night I will never forget. We started the day getting ready at the hotel before connecting for their first look and exploring downtown for some couples photos before making our way over to Sienna Mercato for their ceremony and reception. 

From the very first time I met Sara & Zoe for their engagement photos it was apparent how much they cared for each other and how easy their love felt. I wanted to capture the down-to-earth feel they exude while leaning into the emotions of the day and capturing the love they share with all the people in their lives. 

Their day was filled with so much love, laughter and happy tears as we danced the night away under string lights and the Pittsburgh skyline. Some of the sweetest moments to capture was the absolute joy and feeling of Sara’s dance with her mother which felt so true to their relationship and captured the heart of the day so well. 

After the wedding Sara shared a little bit about their experience working with me:

Having our engagement shoot in her studio gave us so many options. Kirsten was communicative, excited, and personable. She captured the moments at our wedding that we didn't even know were happening, which was fantastic.”

I am so thankful for all the amazing people I get to connect with all over the East Coast as I help them preserve memories of their wedding. It’s so special to be a part of these celebrations and chronicle some of life’s most beautiful moments which often go by too fast.
