While documenting a wedding day I strive to exist in two perspectives throughout the day. Over the course of the time leading up to the wedding I am extremely intentional on connecting with my couple and getting to know them without my camera in my hand. The first perspective is a result of this time connecting in the hopes of beginning to see my couple in some of the ways they see each other so I can document them as such. The second is a blend of how I see the world and my observations on how the day itself feels. I want to capture the way the sun feels kissing brushing up against your skin as you walk down the aisle, the glint of emotion that shifts in your eyes when you see your partner for the first time on your wedding day.

One of the most breathtaking times of the year is just around the corner and I am already daydreaming about the trees becoming a more vibrant, rich and warm palette that sets the world ablaze in color. Autumn has always been one of my favorite times of year and getting to capture its beauty, depth and range is always a highlight to the tail end of each year's weddings. Each season comes with its own special variety of color and texture when it comes to planning the details of your day. When it comes to fall weddings, I love seeing the way my couples lean into the natural beauty of the season.

Nestled just beyond historic Honesdale, PA sits a new wedding venue that has stolen my heart. Wildflower on Watts takes the best of what barn venues have to offer and creates a timeless setting for your day to naturally unfold. Over the years I have found that many barn venues, beautiful as they may be, aren’t always equipped the right way for a wedding or prove to be much too rustic for an elevated wedding experience.
