A spring Engagement Session in Central Park

What better place for engagement photos for a New Yorker than Central Park in spring and the wedding venue of your dreams nestled in Manhattan. We kicked off Camille + Valerio’s engagement session by Gapstow Bridge in Central Park which offered us some privacy and gorgeous skyline views.

We spent the next 30 minutes wandering around the little section I had scouted for us before their arrival and got a variety of spring settings, cityscapes, candid moments of love and had a whole lot of laughs along the way. I always love being able to meet and work with my clients prior to their wedding day because it allows us to get to know each other, see how we work together and even find our own shooting rhythm. I always tell my couples I will give them as much or as little direction as they need and these two just melted into each other during the session.

We chatted the whole ride to their wedding venue and everyone was filled with so much Christmas morning-like anticipation to imagine their day in the space and finish up some of their photos at the venue, specifically at the rooftop garden. Camille + Valerio toured 632 on Hudson as their first venue option and decided to choose it right away for its eclectic feel and unique setup. 632 on Hudson has a wide collection of art and artifacts from around the world and offers such an intimate setting for your Manhattan wedding.

I was immediately blown away by the design of the space known as The Triplex, a gorgeous three story event space with a grand staircase leading up the levels to a rooftop garden. Everywhere I looked I found new hidden gems, art from around the world, chandeliers, places to connect with a new friend during events and about a million ideas for where I could document my couple as they celebrated their wedding.

After our tour I had C+V change into their next outfit and we headed back up to the rooftop garden for our final set of photos. We were able to capture some gorgeous light bouncing off of a nearby building as we explored the garden together and chatted about how excited we were to see it all in full bloom come July.
