A Luxe November Wedding at DiSalvo’s

I’ve felt like an old soul for as long as I can remember, perpetually attracted to a slowness and intention in life that flowed more freely at one time. Much of the inspiration I feel in my work stems from things past in an endeavor to preserve the present because nothing lasts, and our memories don’t fully stand the test of time. It’s been a slow burn to find this core truth in my work but every piece discovered is worth the time and intention because it helps connect me with the most amazing souls.

When Kait and I first began chatting about her vision for their wedding it was clear to see her love for all things vintage and romance from times gone by. She was incredibly intentional with incorporating old family photographs, small sentimental touches, and adding on 35mm film coverage to help document their engagement and wedding.

We kicked off the day in their new family home as I documented the little things to fully encapsulate the spirit of their day before heading to my studio at the Pajama Factory for a private first look. I always love getting to glimpse my bride’s dress before the wedding so I know how to best document her in it and Kait’s dress felt like it was custom made just for her. She was an absolute vision in the dress designed by Alyne Bridal made by Rita Vinieris in the style Camila, it fit her to perfection and showcased her eye for style as well as a timeless romantic feeling.

The ceremony took place in a gorgeous Cathedral in Williamsport and was wrapped up with some portraits at the church before heading over to Disalvo’s. The first stop we made was at the vintage feeling bar inside DiSalvo’s for some drinks and flash photos before heading out to their courtyard to embrace the stunning ivy growing along its walls for their photos. We ended their gorgeous November wedding in the newly renovated reception space with its bright walls, beautiful arches and overall luxe feeling.

I wrapped up their wedding gallery as an early Christmas present and sent along their customized heirloom box of memories from the day to accompany it. It’s always heart wrenchingly beautiful to anticipate each couples response as they eagerly relive their wedding day through their photographs and I was absolutely blown away with Kait’s..

“I couldn’t wait and did a quick scroll through the photos, and I’m already sobbing!! You did a phenomenal job, and that’s even an understatement. Oh my gosh. I can’t wait to indulge in these photos. I truly do feel like I’m reliving the day through the detailed photos. Also, I will be writing you reviews! You have such talent and are so gifted! Your style is unmatched, and I could not have asked for better. Everybody deserves wedding photos like the ones that you provide!”

2023 was a year that cracked me wide open in so many ways I would have never anticipated but I am so thankful for the perspective, continued excitement, and renewed passion it brought. I am beyond excited to keep documenting so many love stories this year and extremely humbled to be honored with the opportunity to do so.
