Saturday Morning Pancakes - Corning, NY

One of my favorite things that has come of me doing photography is the ability to continue capturing special moments for people over and over again. Jamie and Trevor are some of those people - and boy am I thankful to have documented some sweet moments for the two of them and now their little baby boy Cyril. 

When Jamie and I first discussed doing photos of Cyril at four months (when she had gotten them taken as a baby), I asked her about doing some family photos too, and WOW did I love the results. I had worked with Jamie and Trevor several times before for different occasions but this time we planned to just keep it casual. In other words, just another normal Saturday morning at home. ​

​Normal for them was a big pancake breakfast, so a pancake breakfast we did. Remember the part where I said my aim is to capture REAL life? Keeping that in mind I had them lean into their weekend tradition, and encouraged them when they were doing something that really worked. Just normal people doing their thing and a VERY enthusiastic photographer third wheeling their weekend plans.

It is so special to have documented Jamie and Trevor on their first anniversary, while they were expecting and at the beginning of their next adventure as parents. This is the stuff I live for, taking part in telling a story and watching as people grow together. 

Who knows, maybe in a few years time I will be taking photos of them in a new home, maternity photos, 10 years anniversary photos... whatever it may be, I AM HERE FOR IT.  

Most importantly I am here for you.
